Paestum

Poseidonia/Paestum is a site where Greek temples were found (in southern Italy) dating back to 500 BC! While there, they were still arduously at work (still) putting stuff together! It was impressive. It wasn't as big as Pompei, but it also isn't entirely uncovered either; neither is Pompei, for that matter.

falling and fallen civilizations

While Wall Street was crumbling,
we thought to visit some other fallen civilizations
and see how they've been (pardon the pun)
holding up:
actually, impressively nicely - what's left of them, anyway.
We were in Pompei and Poseidonia/Paestum - Greek temples in Italy dating from 500 BC. Here are some Fotos of what's left of Vesuvius and Pompei.

war gerade in Süditalien

upon departure, I happened to bump into 'Bushito'
at Flughafen Schoenefeld
and, upon landing in Napoli,
I was perplexed to find they have disabled the toilets
and was quite in a hurry to locate the enabled ones...
