Poseidonia/Paestum is a site where Greek temples were found (in southern Italy) dating back to 500 BC! While there, they were still arduously at work (still) putting stuff together! It was impressive. It wasn't as big as Pompei, but it also isn't entirely uncovered either; neither is Pompei, for that matter.

Wow... the pictures are great. The fallen civilization have left us great works of art in their structures - as evident in the pictures that you've taken.
I wish I could see it for myself too. :)
